How a recorder helped my mom
Coach Broyles, you have done an excellent job with this Playbook. Your tips can really help people who are going through this. Here is something that helped reduce my caregiver burnout and my mother's anxiety when she was in the early to moderate stage of Alzheimer's. I used a simplified recorder to record a brief comforting message for her every day or several times a day. She played it over and over to hear my voice. it's worn as a pendant and there's just one big button to press. Take a look at www.kindreminder.com.

Tips and Strategies
I read all your tips and strategies and they coincide essentially with how I'm taking care of my wife. They are great checklists for standard operating procedure. One thing I realized is that I am not doing enough in getting her to help with certain tasks. The reason is I want to finish up and procede to something else. I will be more patient in the future on this.

Thank you!
Coach Broyles,
Thank you for writing this book. It has been a wonderful resource as we deal with my grandfather's dementia. Thank you for making it so easy to understand, clear and to the point. It is a wonderful gift you have given to those of us just starting this terrible journey. Thank you.

Thanks!
I have recently written a book Called Walking with Grace. It is a resource for churches to use to help them implement and launch a congregational respite ministry for olderadults who are memory impaired. I dropped some books by the GA Alz Association and was handed Coach Broyles book. I have ordered a copy for all my caregivers and volunteers. It is well done! Very easy to read and full of great tips and advice.

Thank you
Thank you for sharing your personal experience. I have "quoted" this book so many times. I feel that because it is written so simply those of us that are trying to understand this process are able to do so without becoming overwhelmed. I hope that Coach Broyles realizes what a difference he and his wife have made in so many lives - the millions of people that have and will be touched by this disease - hopefully they can find comfort here.

Amazing Resource from Amazing People
The Alzheimer's Playbook is an amazing resource for families that really struggle with knowing what they can do to take care of their loved ones.
I am so thankful for Coach Broyles and his family for investing in creating this for everyone. What an incredible man that constantly gives to people out of his blessings.

Caregiver Book
You were terrific to send me 150 of your caregiver books, as I have recently started 6 caregiver support groups in rural AZ. I believe you also spoke with Linda Japenja at about the same time. Linda is the case manager at the agency we contract with and does the case management for family caregivers. It is terrific that you provided her with books as well. She and I work closely together, although not at the same agency. We just wanted you to know that our caregivers love the book and how much we appreciate the generosity of your foundation and of the folks that donate to you. I have just 20 left of the 150 you provided. Thank you for the great work that you and your father are doing in honor of your mother. This book is a god-send to the caregivers we work with. Take care, and if you are ever passing through AZ please let us know, we would love to welcome you and thank you is person.

From one Coach to another
Dear Coach Broyles - you'll remember my father , Bob Bossons - I believe y'all played together at Ga Tech. He has early stage Alzheimer's. Your book is the best resource we've found to date. Easy to use and we especially like the 'quick reference' card - easy to carry around. As a nurse, this is an invaluable tool with families. It is now being used as the 'gold' standard for our local eldercare agency. Many thanks for your efforts. Connie Bishop for Bob and Virginia Bossons
